| Copy |
Artwork displayed on an off-premise sign. |
| Cutout |
Copy added outside the bounds of the basic rectangular sign structure. Also referred to as an "extension". |
| Face |
A discrete panel where copy can be displayed. Each structure can have more than one face, even per side. |
| Facing |
Literally the direction that a sign faces. A north facing sign faces north and so is visible to southbound traffic. |

A lighted sign so that copy is visible at night. |

| Off-Premise Sign |
A display used to advertise products or services not sold or manufactured at the location of the display. Meadow Outdoor Advertising only provides this kind of display. |

A display used to advertise products or services sold or manufactured at the location of the display. Meadow Outdoor Advertising does not provide this kind of display. |
| Outdoor Advertising |
Media that displays advertisements outside the home, such as with highway and transit signs. |
| Poster |
A 250 sq. foot sign face on which copy can be changed monthly. Poster paper is pasted to sign face to change copy. Also called a 30-sheet poster. |
| Production |
The process of creating and printing artwork. For Meadow, this primarily involves printing to vinyl. |
| Sign Structure |
All the constructed elements of a sign -- the face, trim, skirt, supports, upright beams, lights, etc. |
| Snipe |
A portion of copy added to an existing display to change its copy. |
| Traffic Count |
Number vehicles that pass an off-premise sign in one day. Traffic counts are obtained from the state highway department. |
| Vinyl |
A polymer-based material used for large format, usually printed, advertising which is stretched around a sign face for display. This is Meadow Outdoor's preferred medium. |
