What are the steps to getting my billboard advertising up?
Once you have finalized the agreement for your advertising spot, please provide any artwork or artwork elements you may have to your account representative who will send them on to the art department. The art department will contact you to begin to create your advertising layout and take your display through the production process.
How do I start to design my new outdoor display?
A great place to start is the other parts of the university. Click on the tutorial and follow the five steps of billboard design. Don't worry. If you need some help, your account representative or the meadow artist will gladly review the information with you. Either before or after you have reviewed the online design guide, our art department will contact you and conduct a design consultation with you.
I told the artist I wanted blue, but I don't like how it looks. Can I change the design?
The artist will first work with you to create a dynamic, working piece of outdoor advertising. She will send it to you via email or fax, or post it online so you can take a look. This is your opportunity to make changes for FREE! Talk about your concerns with the artist. She will send a modified design based on the changes you discuss. If you want more changes, you will be charged an art revision fee each time you make a change.
I have a design. Can I use my own art?
Yes. If you use an agency or already have a design, we can work with your art so long as it meets basic design and format standards. Please request a ready-art standards sheet from your account representative or the Meadow artist.
What will it cost?
Set-up and shipping charges each time an outdoor display is ordered. These fees always apply. Extensions, photographs, detailed graphics, tack-ons, out-of-sequence, and special services are charged additional fees. The production charge overview provides more information. You can also ask your account representative or the meadow artist for clarification.
I want my advertising in place quickly. What can I do to speed the process?
1) Keep your message simple. Use seven words or less. Choose contrasting colors for maximum readability.
2) Provide necessary high-quality elements. If you have logos, clipart, photos or other elements provide them to the artist right away either digitally or via postal or delivery service. You can e-mail even before you talk with the artist.
3) Respond quickly to requests for information or approvals. Your participation is critical. |
When will my outdoor advertising be ready?
The total time to produce the work will depend on how quickly and completely you respond to requests for information or approvals. Once you approve the design your billboard will be printed, shipped, and installed in two to four weeks.
